Free City of Lübeck, 8 Schilling, 1730

I didn't see the other 1730 above. Is it okay to post two for the same year?
(This was my first entry though I'm also active in CCs thread).
I suggest we move to the 1727 and then if someone has a 1729 and 1728 they can place it in at a later stage

YES OR NO?
Cheers Don
I have acquired a 1729 at auction (actually without knowing it) but I'm not sure it might take 7+ days to arrive

I just did a packagetracking and it just says that its being shipped from Germany to Japan, my best guess is that it will arrive sometime in the coming week.

Sorry to make you wait, but I fear that we might fall into this kind of trouble more and more often as the years go down.

If it is a distinguishable subtype that was made only 1705 then yes otherwise no  8. .

No way! The dates have got to be specific, otherwise people will just post common dateless coins from the right era repeatedly (like Chinese cash).
Well many coins before the 17 hundreds dont have dates on them but are known from when to when they where minted year by year (ex. 1704 to 1708). I think this has to be accepted as otherwise when you go to mediaval coins almost no coin has a date on it and we wont be able to continue.

We should probably ask the one who started this page and set up the rules. When I checked at the beginning it really didn't cover some of the older coins. The Chinese cash coins could be a problem. Coins with a limited run of say 10 to 15 years we might be able to use once for that period of years just to get us started again. Referee, any thoughts? You have the say so on what goes.
dabarre
I agree to ask the original thread starter. I think that it should be the actual date not a range of dates.
