This is one of the coins I received from my grandfather. When he renovated an old cellar with a clay floor in the 60s. I don't really know why someone would put coins ranging from 1849 - 1919; 1 Pfennig to 1/2 Mark in the ground in a house build in 1925. But the clay conserved the coins pretty well so thank you person who put them there

Taking a break from swapping for a while, but still interested in pre 1799 Spanish coins, I will make time for that!

Portugal - Real (mechanical coinage, 1678-1835) 40 Réis - João Prince Regent KM# 345
Was not sure whether to put that Portugal coin or this medal I have instead ...
Outlines some of Wellington's military victories.
On one side, in the middle it says:
“CUIDAD RODRIGO JAN 19. 1812 BADAJOZ APRIL 2. 1812
SALAMANCA JULY 22. 1812 MADRID AUG 12. 1812”
Then around the edge it has:
“VIMIERA AUG 21. 1808 TALAVERA JULY 28. 1809 ALMEIDA MAY 5. 1811
On the other side it has a left-facing portrait of Wellington and around the edge it says:
“HISPANIA MET LVSITANIAM RESTITVIT WELLINGTON”
The rim is /////// with no text on it.
