I added Western Sahara to bring my total to 278. Western Sahara Peseta coins are a bit of a corner case though. Are these really used for circulation in Polisario territories?
I just got a full set of Lithuanian coins, 6 centas coins and 3 litas. They're all just modern circulation but I love them anyway. They're close to uncirculated in quality. I'll have to work on getting some older ones in the future.

Apart from historical ones, only few Europe countries (which I collect) are remaining - Greenland, Albania, Faroe Islands and Belarus + Crete and Ionian Islands, but I believe these will be little tougher.

Well, yes. I want everything that was used/is used in Europe. I only added Greenland - because it is European historically and excluded those small states that only try to make money on coins for collectors and also contemporary Russia.
You should include maybe Svalbard/Spitsbergen Arctic Coal tokens, even from a Russian company these tokens seemed to be intended to circulate inside these settlements. However they are not easy to find. Like Brittany/Lorraine (last one quite easy for me) but more historical as medieval duchies.

Saint Pierre and Miquelon - and rather bizarrely for a coin with a mintage of only 600,000 I received one in an eBay lot and picked one out of a bargain bin on the very same day.
Also Malta, French Indochina, German East Africa, East Africa, and Isle of Man.
I just added 2 new countries: French Equatorial Africa and Sao Tome & Principe to make my total 238. These were my first new countries in months. How am I ever going to get to 300?????

That will be close to impossible with only serious coins.
It was hard to add any new country to my collection and now it is even harder with an undervaluated Mexican Peso; it is like having to pay a 30% tax in relation to 18 months ago...
Currently I returned to other hobbies and been doing fine even when buying from Amazon or eBay because thankfully items under 50 dollars are tax-free on import.

Poland-Lithuania silver to bring me to 288. 300 still looks far away, though. Visiting Puerto Rico at the end of the year, maybe a LCS can set me up with a pre-U.S. PR coin!
Just yesterday I was lamenting the fact that I finally scored a couple of new countries after months of a dry spell. Today I pulled a Katanga 5 Franc out of a $2 bin for my 239th country. Woo hoo.

A nice swap just added Bolivia, Cyprus, Kenya, Kuwait, Latvia, and Sierra Leone for me. Now up to 137 countries - looks like I will hit my 2016 goal of 150 countries early!

Jesse11 (thanks!) was willing to swap his spare franc with me, so now I added Saint Pierre and Miquelon to my tally.
I've already hit my 2016 goal of 150 countries as of a recent swap and some "junk bin" picks. Guess I need to set a new goal for the year!
I added British West Africa, Czechoslovakia, German Democratic Republic, Guadeloupe (), Guernsey, Jordan, Macedonia, Mauritius, Namibia, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.
Congratulations, you're eligible to join the 300 countries club.

Quote: "SRV5490"301. French cities (Cette)
302. Vietnam - Empire
303. Spanish Netherlands
304. Central American Republic
305. Serbia (in the mail and on the way)
You didn't have Serbia until now!? Country 305? Wow!
The same for French cities, French notgelds are quite easy to find

I added a 5Fr Katanga in the last swaps to bring my total to 215 countries. I realized I haven't listed my Yugoslavia and Serbian coins on numista; and now I'm eyeing some Palestinian coins. So I can see my collection quickly notching up to 217 countries.
On a side note, I got my very first Edward VIII coin from east Africa. That's a pretty big deal for me but alas numista doesn't count that as something different
#269: Phoenician cities (bought last year but finally ID last week)

One of my coins moved to the newly-created British East Indies (#270) but its existence remains fragile.

Mine was not from the Peninsula but from Netherlands East Indies, as initially misclassified. Fortunately I own another NEI coin to keep this country.

Picked up a French Somaliland 1 franc from a junk bin for #174. I really have a soft spot for all those French colonial aluminum coins with engravings by Lucien Bazor. I always make an exception to my "pre-1950" cutoff and grab them out of the bins whenever I find them.
It's been ages since I've been at the intersection of interesting and within budget.
Received this weekend, my first coin from Lithuania 1570 two Denar.
I'm really happy with this little guy.
Picked up a French Equatorial Africa in a $1 grab bag of 10 coins at a coin swap. I saw the obverse and bought the bag. An unexpected, but pleasant find.
A couple of more new countries from the bulk bins: China - Japanese Puppet States and an unidentified 16th century Spanish Netherlands coin, which will bring me to 179.
