So ... I recently found this place on googlemap and the reverse image search will tell you that it is a lake.
Even if there are not many people living in the area, the locals say it is fishy but it's a bit far to go and check and anyway it's not what makes it famous.
Would (if there are any) the fishes not be having a most excellent time in this lake? (i.e pollution of some sort?)
actually, I'll shoot a guess.
either lake karachay
or the famed "Atomic Lake" from project Taiga.
I collect anything: If it's Italian or Italian states i collect it even more!

Fishes are excellent, and you hit right firs time the nail on the head
It's the atomic lake next to Vassioukovo !
Quote: "CassTaylor"Just to be clear, I meant; is the statue of any one of those seven mythological animals with hooves? (Minotaur, Hippocampus, Satyr and Chimera)
If the answer is no, then is it of a Gorgon?
I'll save you some guessing, it is a Chimera, however I do not believe it to be represented with hooves.

Yes, the Arezzo one will be close enough, the specific one I had imagined was one found in Trestina, a few dozen kilometres away, along with a large Etruscan bronze "brazier-tripod" of sorts (a reproduction is on the Main Street of that city), but the more I search the internet for it, the more I realize it isn't as easy to find, nor as much common knowledge as I thought it was. (it is much less well-preserved than the Arezzo piece)
So Cass, you take it again!
Here's a link to the specific tripod I mentioned. http://www.culturaitalia.it/opencms/viewItem.jsp?language=it&case=&id=oai%3Ascalarchives.com%3A0081083

Okay, first clue; this monument was built in the style of Greco-Roman architecture, but was built long after the fall of Greco-Roman civilisation.
The Lincoln Memorial?
Monticello?

Once upon a time an utopian small dying territory, swept away by successive waves of hackers, geeks, darknet activists, during the second half of the twentieth century.
Ok, my turn again; for a bit of a change, this monument is not in Europe. It was born from an attempt at colonisation by a European country; and it became famous after it was involved in an incident of anti-Semitism.
Was this place colonized by the:
French?
British?
Spanish?
Italians?
Germans?
Portuguese?
Following which:
Is this monument located in
Asia?
Americas?
Africa?

I can't answer the first question though, as it would make it too obvious... so instead here's a hint; it was colonised by the only country to ever try adopting metric time.
Does it have anything to do with the Dreyfus affair?
If so, is it related to Devil's Island in French Guiana?
And if it is, is it the Dreyfus Tower?
P/S; Just discover this forum while I'm bored.
Yeah!!!!!!!!!!
Time to celebrate!!!!!!!!!!
OK. Here are the clues:
1. It is completed on Halloween.
2. It used to bear the name of a king.
3. Address contains 3 numbers.
4. The street it's on is named after a revolution.
P/S: No, it's not the avatar.

Well, my turn, I think is not too easy, so will give some hints:
- Is placed on the biggest country of the region.
- Is a copy of a building in other country, even name was copied, but translated to local language.
- In it has the 2nd biggest indoor statue of the world.
- In floor is placed a copy of a big jewel that marks KM 0 of the country.
Good luck to all.

If not, is it Laos?
There's only 5 countries in the world still technically communist to this day- and since we just had it, Cuba can't be the one, right?
Quote: "Salaction"loved the clock when I was there ^^
You mean Prague?
When I was there last year the clock was being renovated.
And when I’m here in London, the Elizabeth Tower is being renovated,
I guess clock towers just don’t like me too much.
