Yes, and another sign is how young the members are. Some of us were born BC, before computers, others have been born in the WC age, with computers.

A couple of people posted on my thread about collecting my birth year. Their birth years made them 76 and 77 years old this year. Thank goodness there are some distinguished older collectors on this site and it's not all just young-uns

Hello Everyone, I'm fairly new to this website but already I think it's amazing; it's very nice to be a part of it.
I am 33 years old atm. I'd like to thank all the people who have gave me info and for those who I have made trades with, as well as the people I haven't but hopefully the future will change that =D. Thanks

hahaha ... No! (I wouldn't want to be so old). The secret is in the link that accompanies the image. Just observe the value of the coin. So that is why I said that this was useful just until the end of the year (my birthday is January 6)

When everyone has submitted their age I will announce the youngest member of this forum and the oldest, which should reflect the age of the average collector. So, happycustard, do you have any report on youngest age, oldest age and average of those posted?Well the youngest (as far as I know) is ZuluRaptorSpace who is 11

The oldest seems to be sporpion36 who is 77 years old

Same as last year plus one.

Would anyone object to me doing a mean, median, mode, and range on this thread's statistics? I can recalculate every once in awhile as new people post. I am just really curious as to what the values are. (Technically we already know the numerical ends of the range, but you know what I mean.)

You'll have to allow for the age of the posts too. I was almost 35 when I posted. Now 35 and a half, turning 36 in October

Also, if someone said "almost" X age, I will mark them down as X age. That would actually put you at 35, since you said in your post that you were almost 35. :)

Talking from experience, 1970 is a great vintage.

I'm not an expert in any kind of coins, but I reckon I'm good at research and will do my best to help. Feel free to tell me my identifications/valuations/gradings are wrong. It's the only way I'll learn.
