I just started sorting a 10 pound (weight, not value) bulk lot. Here are scans of 3 really ugly and damaged coins that I was amazed I could identify with 100 percent certainty in Numista and quite quickly.

The winning entry will be the first received at or before Sept. 3, 2022, 12 noon, eastern US time that identifies the country, date (and any mint mark), denomination and KM number of each coin. If no correct entry is received, the first received with at least a single coin identified by all 4 elements will win. My decision as to winner will be final.

Ok, this is different to anything you've done before.

#1 is really tough. I see some letters at the rim but that's all. Will rest and come back later.

As we say at the identification forum, we need some data to start the research, at least the diameter.

#2 is a Cartwheel penny or 2 pence, please check the diameter. If it's 36 mm, then it's a 1 penny (N#947). If it's 42 mm, then it's a 2 pence (N#1287). Luckily for you, they have only one date (1797).

#3 is a spanish maravedis. Searching “Isabel 8 maravedis” here gave a few results, the one that fits you is N#4402. The date on your coin is 1846, mintmark not visible.

Remember, all 4 elements (country, date, denomination and KM number) need to be given. I plan no hints or extra information as I think an element of luck should apply this time.

I Strongly feel that the Reverse of 1st coin is Up side down…So, I have changed my answer for the first coin.

Sorry to be a little late with the results. According to my requirements, no one identified all 3 coins the same as I did. So by the rules, Giobruno wins as he was the first to identify the cartwheel. Congratulations! I decided the first is Pre-Federal Connecticut but it looks most like KM # 3.1 of 1786 (the placement of colons was the most decisive design element). And the third I identified as KM # 531 1846 but with mint mark JA at bottom of reverse (I have image wrongly placed, castle under LAS should be at upper left and castle above last S of ESPANAS at lower right).
