Hi Alex - I am sorry to see that you are upset about this event.
The coin entry that was removed only had drawings of images of the coin. The one that was kept had actual real photos of a real coin and had been uploaded by another member of Numista. The second entry also had better information. I checked both entries and decided to ask for the better one to be retained and the members who had their coin listed against the other one to have their records moved.
I agree that the best solution would have been for the member who uploaded the second entry instead of creating a new page should have just amended the first entry with the new better real images.
But mistakes will always happen and newer members are not always familiar with how to upload or edit/improve existing pages. They have difficulty even finding existing pages so think they have got a coin that is not already on Numista.
You did say that in your last message that the first coin should be kept "subject to a quality photograph". I think that is what was done in this instance. Normally I agree the first one should be the one to be kept when a duplicate is found.
Anyway take care and I hope you retain the passion you obviously have for coins and numista.
Regards Mike

Every die is different for hammered coins so this is a bit less relevant (we shouldn't have hundreds of coin pages of the same damn type and have to play spot the difference), more important is that they are different years so they should be combined.

In this entry -
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces6559.html - I believe the first and third descriptions for the 1967, Mumbai mint are the same. Unless I've missed something, I think one of them should be deleted.
Thanks.

Hi Cyrillis .. I have a duplicate for you to delete.
Apologies it was my mistake in adding this coin, there was an issue with the year in some source documentation that caused me to stuff up.
This is the correct one:
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces196011.html
this is the one to delete
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces197435.html

Hello!
In addition to an existing page:
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces74372.html
page was added:
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces197581.html
I did not find a single mention of such a kind of coin (High Relief Proof) on the Internet. The added photos are also not images of High Relief Proof quality coins. I believe that such a coin DOES NOT EXIST until they prove the opposite to me.

Thank you.It seems to me that the referees do not always check the information about the coins.
Please check these coins:
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces197072.html

https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces197078.html

There is no fault of the referee. Judging by the numbers of these pages, it is clear that these are automatic duplicates. This sometimes happens.

Hi Cyrillius ... While updating Australian Lunar 50 cent coins I came across these 2 entries ....
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces137451.html - This one has pics
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces20364.html - This one has no pics
I believe they are the same coin except one was UNC and the other is Proof.
We should keep the first one, I have added the proof entry line to the mintage box.
We just need to move the 3 members what have their collection against 20364 to the line marked proof on 137451 and then 20364 can be deleted.

Hello!
Once again, I make sure that the referees do not check the information and the location of the coin in the catalog when adding new coins:
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces182176.html

https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces182175.html

Please leave the pages and photos that were added first to the cat.

True, on the first coin (Buratino) they already managed to change the photo of the original coin to an advertising image.

Hello,
there is coin from Monaco, 10 Francs 1966, 10th anniversary of marriage, which is
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces180345.html
as a circulating commemorative coin and
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces18719.html
as a fantasy token, refernce to
http://fr.numista.com/forum/topic17363.html .
What is true? For me it doesn't matter, but please not two issues in one catalogue...
Thanks!

Hi. I believe the first two coins listed here to be duplicates of each other and that the first one would be the one to be deleted as it appears to be listed under the wrong category.
Despite the slightly different weight and diameter, I also think the last one could be in reality the same coin as the other two.

Theloosehorse: hello.
It seems that all three pages have images of KM1062. I deleted one duplicate from Exonumia. For a coin in the Gibraltar category, please contact the referee.
Thank you.

I'm so sorry Cyrillius. I don't know how I overlooked that. 9 of 10 in that list are palladium, but indeed 1 is platinum, and that's the one with the mintage of 5.

Hello LEÓNIDÁS.
For the first couple. I would suggest moving the 1592 coin image to a comment on the correct page and adding a reference. Please make the necessary change requests.
For the last ducat. Is this a duplicate? If this page is redundant, please contact the referee first. There is a reference here, so let it be the decision of the referee.
Thank you.

Hello,
I suspect a duplicate here, measurements surely here depends how well you measure it.
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces177025.html
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces31721.html
Official medal exists only in 55.7mm so one above was probably not exactly measured.

Houseofham: I would suggest creating a new thread for banknotes, otherwise your request will most likely be lost here.

If coins differ only by year can we consider it same coin? According to Krause catalog it's a same coin.
