British Trade Dollar

5 posts • viewed 116 times

Hello everyone,

I’m new to the forum and a beginner in coin collecting.

I have three 1911 British Trade Dollars.

One of the three has the reverse upside down.

Can anyone explain why?

Many thanks in advance.

Hi.

Are you sure your coins are genuine ?

Please, give the weight of each of your coins, the diameter, too.

Try to put a magnet on them…

Second and third coins strangely have divided and tilted dates.

1 [straight] - 9 [straight] - space - 1 [tilted] - 1 [tilted]

The divided date seems to be normal.

Thanks for the answers.

2 out of 3 are most probably fake, the weight is not normal.

the one upsidedown is 22.5 gr

the other one 23.4

the only “good one” is 26.4.

diameter is good and the magnet does not have any effect.
