I'm hoping that a native speaker can tell me more information about this note so that I can add it to the catalog, or locate it if it's already there.

The only similar item I have seen is N#402095 ,  I'm trying to figure out if this is also from the same issuer or if it's from a 3rd party?

Here is the packaging

From a run through chatgpt, this is the translation I got.

This side of the note features a poem and a bird illustration:

Text translation:

   2023

   Translation:

   2023

   Bloom, our dear Ukraine,
And be proud, from edge to edge!
Enchanting and flowing like a nightingale’s song,
This is the song of our native land!

So may God grant you happiness and goodness!
May our dear Ukraine bloom like a flower!
And from the Dnipro with its waters and spires
Let only our native nightingale language sing!

Into every home, to the warmth of family,
May the embroidery of the soul laugh with joy!
   Ukraine, from cities to villages,
Our native language will echo in every heart!

Bottom Text:

   п’ять гривень – "Five Hryvnias"

НЕ Є ПЛАТІЖНИМ ЗАСОБОМ – "Not a means of payment"

This side continues the bird and flower imagery:

Text translation:

   СОЛОВ’ЇНА УКРАЇНСЬКА МОВА
   п’ять гривень

   Translation:

   Nightingale Ukrainian Language
   Five Hryvnias

Also includes the Ukrainian coat of arms (Tryzub / Trident).

It seems to be a souvenir note that advocates the use of Ukrainian language. Solovinyj os the name of nightingale in Ukrainian, but solovina can be both a female nightingale or a poetic, romantic way to call the Ukrainian language by comparing it to a bird sing.

Thank you.   I spent a couple hours last night digging more and came to the same conclusion, that it was not an official note.   Here is what I've got so far for the catalog.  I'm just needing to find my ruler or a caliper so I can get the measurements.

It really is a stunning note and the blue and yellow with that bird was just too beautiful for me to pass up.

Where did you find info on the bird depicted? Not sure what it is, surely not a blue tit …

Not only a fantasy banknote, also a fantasy bird 😉

No new swaps for the moment, still too many half-ongoing swaps to clean up!

As far as I can tell other than being a painting and having exaggerated blues/yellows for artistic reasons, it seems looks like an Eurasian blue tit to me.  But I'm not a bird expert and this was just what was found when plugging the image into one of those bird identifier apps.

another possibility is the Tropical Parula, the colors match closer with the darker head, but the shape closer resembles the Blue tit.

But if anyone knows the actual species I would love to know for certain.

For sure no blue tit … tropical Parula seems a bit out of the way.

Colors look like the Siberian blue robin (previously classified in the nightingale family!), but not close enough

I'm just guessing that an artist with no birding experience gave it his best try to get something pretty, like these nightingales … So I'd just call them “birds”, can't think of anything more specific for now (except that it's an insect eater 😉 like more than half of all species ).

The Siberian Blue Robin makes more sense, the painting is so vibrant.  I submitted a request to modify the page to just refer to them as blue and yellow birds :)

I corrected the poem's text, which had quite a few wrong lines, and corrected the translation.

You are the best, thank you.  I kind of assumed Google Translate/ChatGPT wasn't going to be 100% accurate.   Kind of like the glass image search thing.

No problem! Google Translate is a very good tool, I don't have major issues with it.

But ChatGPT and other similar AI tools are pretty bad when it comes to a bit more complicated things. It made so many mistakes when I was using/asking it, so I stopped using it and barely trust it now. What it does well is summarize large texts.

Great looking note, does it have any UV activity?
