Possibly from the silk road somewhere? [solved]

I picked this up but it's not in my usual area of expertise so I'm not sure where to start in terms of identifying it. Also any tips on knowing if it's real or fake would be appreciated.

Looks legit to me. This is quite a common and cheap coin, I don't think too many people would bother to fake it.
The date is mostly off the flan, but I think it's AH911 (1506):
