Are monarch names in banknote titles needed? [solved]

2 posts • viewed 50 times

I have a number of notes depicting royalty and many of them include the name of the monarch in the title. I vaguely remember seeing that this is expected per the guidelines of the site to include the monarch name in the title if the individual is on the note, but if this is truly the case, I am wondering if this is even necessary since the monarchs are included as the ruling authorities in the note features, so having it in the title seems like we are duplicating information. Should the name of the monarch really be included in the title?

Example of notes with monarch name:

N#201541

N#203061

Example of notes without monarch name

N#201904

N#205473

Makes it easier to differentiate between different banknotes quickly.
