Hello,

 

I'm glad to see progress here after several month without progress but struggle to understand how we handle requests.

 

1 - I made an overview with request classified by order of request date, now from 1 to 137, from 1 to 10 all is done, the request for central asia back in 2020 is still pending but request made the 18 November 2023 are done, how do you pick request?

 

2 - Just to take one exemple, Benelux request was done the 23 of May and we currently have items on it, request is still pending, Australian Colonies request was asked the 18 of November and done the 18 of November but no items are link to this issuer, why is it more important to solve a request to an inactive issuer than an active one?

 

So as it seems useless to continue to do the update of the above listing I will not do it anymore.

 

I don't understand why equest are done on a random order, request 63 is pending but request 137 is done, it's frustrating to see that we are investing time to improve things and I feel like coins issuers are the oinly one thta count for admins and Exonumia are not lookup. I feel we are missing an admin thta collect Exonumia or banknote to understand tht coins are not the only things on this web.

Sorry, my bad. I jumped in this thread because Australian and Islamic requests came from Issuer addition I handled recently; I must confess I hate never ending threads like this one; I know Numista use them for some topics (duplicates, images fix, flags) but I personnally prefer by a lot having dedicated tickets. This way the age of requests and status is way easier to track.

My advise would be to close this thread, and recreate a big one with your updated table you took time to create. Then not addind new things in it, just create another tickets when missing flags are spotted.

Fine with the unique request post but please speak with the others admin as this post was created by an admin, after closing several unique request.

That's a very interesting point of view commonly seen in coins collectors, but you fail to understand the wole point of Fictional currency.

Why Exonumia should have a different treatment from Numista Coins catalog?

It may surprise some of us but Numista now have an Exonumia category beside coins:

So or we decide to have rules for Coins and others for Exonumia or we can apply the same rules evertwhere and thry to be as relevant as for Coins in both 3 category we try to catalog.

I have no issue about adding flags for fictional places or micronations or tribes etc.

I just challenge the fact to use flag for when an issuer which exist never issued coins but only was impersonated by private exonumia issues. My challenge is challengeable ofc, I'll hear all arguments from the community :-)

And we will revamp the main menu in 2024 to cut less coins/banknotes and exonumia

As you can see for some issuer we go for Unofficial but well accepted flags.

The goal is to make our Exonumia iussuer list user friendly:

I have no problem with that. It also bring the question of how rules are applicable between categories and where is the guidelines for Banknotes and Exonumia if we can't apply the sames rules as for coins.

I do agree that grey areas are far from what we want to have to grow.

As for coins Exomumia can be collect in different ways.

I did not say I will scrap anything, I just highly doubt there are collectors who want to collect all exonumia from France, whatever it's casino chip, ration voucher or royal commemorative medal ;-)
I think categories are the best way to display Exonumia items, and I wonder if this space displaying all items by countries is really used
