Description

This 2000 BU Set of coins was minted by  The Royal Mint in Llantrisant and issued by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand. The set was packaged in a blister type folding coincard and was inserted in a slipcase.

 

The set contains six standard definitive coins, 5c, 10c, 20c, 50c, $1 & $2.

 

The NCLT $5 coin is celebrating the Pied Cormorant Bird, also known as the pied shag, or great pied cormorant, is a medium-sized member of the cormorant family. It is found around the coasts of Australasia. In New Zealand, it is usually known either as the pied shag or by its Māori name of kāruhiruhi.
