100. rocznica pierwszego lotu z Malty
Obverse
Moneta upamiętnia ważny kamień milowy w historii maltańskiego lotnictwa - 100 lat od pierwszego lotu z Malty. To właśnie 13 lutego 1915 r. kapitan Kilmer wystartował z Wielkiego Portu na wodnosamolocie przewożonym przez HMS Ark Royal. Samolot wylądował w porcie po 55-minutowym locie. Moneta przedstawia wodnosamolot kapitana Kilmera na tle Senglea Point, ważnego punktu w Grand Harbour. U góry widnieje napis "PIERWSZY LOT Z MALTY" w półokręgu. Po prawej stronie widnieją lata "1915-2015". U dołu po lewej stronie napis "100TH ANNIVERSARY", a u dołu inicjały projektanta "NGB" (Noel Galea Bason). Na zewnętrznym otoku monety umieszczono 12 gwiazd Unii Europejskiej.
