Les frappes débutent très tôt après la libération de Paris, avec le matériel disponible. Ainsi les frappes millésimées 1941 et qui pèsent 1.30g sont des productions de septembre 1944 que l'on peut facilement distinguer des frappes d'origine car les flancs sont plus minces.
