Need identification

Hi - I found this coin with me and I don't know from what origin it is. I doubt that it's Chinese, but if it is Chinese I can't find here on the site. Please help.
Tell me the origin and currency and please the link of coin on Numista. Thanks.
 

it's a 1 Yuan coin from Taiwan

 There are eight symbols across the top of the first side, and they are backwards from right to left. The last four symbols (top down to left) are  "8  10  8  Date" meaning the 88th year of reign = 88 (1999)
  So the system is worked as 8 times 10 plus 8

  At the top of the page is Numisdoc where there are calendars - here is a Japanese one from there, which for the numbers can be used to read years on also China or Taiwan coins as well.

 Experience I guess - soon as I saw it I knew it was from Taiwan. I have some myself, so already been through looking them up, and must have stuck in memory.

I love this site very much but im afraid to swap bcuz its illegal and i dont know what happen if they find and discover the coins in it do u know guyz?

  Illegal to swap - is that in Egypt - as it is not illegal here in UK or most other countries.
I have made 82 swaps so far, and admittedly never swapped with anyone in Egypt.

Also here is how many of that coin I have - there are fifty of them (all 1 Yuan) !!
Which I think is how I learned to read those dates, as there were so many to go through ...

I don't think it's illegal to swap in Egypt.
Look in the member list other guys from Egypt.

my mother an father lived in egypt  during the 1st gulf war an dont think they had any egypt coins/bank notes ???
