I need help understanding the year dates on these two coins and possibly others. The obverse has the dates of 1916 or 1917 and to the right the accession date of ١٣٣٥ (1335). What is the۱۳۳۳ (1333) date at the bottom represent.
The accession date is 1333. Hussein Kamel became Sultan in 1914 under the British protectorate. Since there is an overlap between the Islamic AH date and the Gregorian AD date 1335 is partly in 1917. He died in 1917.
