1972 Nicaragua 5 centavos KM# 24

The coin I own has a reeded edge with no inscription and has a medal orientation. According to the coin page under "Features" it does show that these coins (KM# 24) are medal oriented.

Under "Comments" it states that the reeded edge has a coin alignment for proof and sets only. The coin I have is no proof but it is in excellent shape and could be from a set.

Should the comment be changed or do I have something that is not listed. All the measurements are correct. Any suggestions.

What is right is that there is a KM# 24.1, a KM# 24.2, and a KM# 24.3 Those are all listed and described properly.

What is wrong is that this page forgot to list a date line of 1972 with a mintage of 10,000,000 that is medal rotation and circulating condition. The Krause lists it as KM# 24.2a Seems to be reeded, but medal rotation. And that fits your coin.

That's not wrong, the date line isn't forgotten because the 1972 you are referring to is another type. The other coins are copper nickel while this 1972 one is "nickel clad steel". That probably explains the "excellent shape" SRV5490 is referring to. Nickel clad steel coins look much brighter than copper-nickel coins and are often in excellent condition.
The problem is, the coin sheet for the 1972 KM# 24.2a says the edge is also inscripted, but this might be wrong. I didn't mention the position so I forgot to do so or there is no inscripted edge. I'll check my coins immediately.

I've checked my coins and as expected the coin sheet is wrong (probably a copy/paste of the similar KM# 24 when creating this page). These coins have indeed a reeded edge.

Change request to correct this is made.
I did send a change request and PMed erdvilla, the ref.
Oops. Good thing I'm not the ref. Completely overlooked the metal differences.
