What are your plans for your collection when you pass on?

Just wondering. I am currently undergoing a hunger strike, and with the nature of said strike... well depending on how long it has to go on (Day 4 right now), well its something I've been thinking about.

I know nobody with an interest in collecting, No close relatives except siblings, and I don't think my collection is... interesting enough to warrant a donation as a collection to anyone (or if there would be anyone willing to accept it.... dont make any compassion-less jokes about you accepting it please)..... Don't just want to leave it up to everyone to decide, cause I know there will be people who would fight over it as its really the only thing I have had the... motivation lets say... to do lately. And its money. so...I feel people fighting feel is a given. Ive honestly thought of just giving it to my one friend, who has been supportive of my hobby and helped me out with getting rid of reject coins so i didnt have to open another bank account.... but... I dont think he would know what to do with it except spend it at face value.... plus I know that would piss off alot of people.... (which... in retrospect.... might not be a horrible idea If I am right about my family fighting over it)

I know its not really... a pleasant topic, but... insight in what other people plan on happening to their collections would be appreciated. Not much to do during covid while doing a hungerstrike... seems the main thing the media wants us to do is buy food.... so many darn food commercials. now where I live I cant even get my medications without a credit card. (which I dont have). I need a cell phone to hear from my psychiatrist that has been MIA this whole year until last week.... missed appointments and no calls back and everything.... just for the potentially inevitable question of "why a hunger strike". there are more reasons... like the police pulling a shot gun on me during a "wellness check" (and no i dont live in the U.S.A..... Canada is just as bad for that crap....) but yea.
Hi Cadyon,
I hope everything gets better for you very soon. Things may look bleak now - but everything gets better with time.
The very fact that you have a collection shows that you have the excellent characteristics of patience, perseverance and grit.
Can you get in touch with the local Member of Parliament using social media and highlight the problems you are facing. Maybe some nice neighbours who can help you out.
Take care and stay safe.

Agree with "BluHawk"

While it must be awful to feel so isolated, I sure hope you can reach out (as you've done here online) & find some help from your siblings or your "one friend, who has been supportive." Try to get access to a phone (& to any type of outside help). Just express yourself, what's troubling you so & why the hunger strike. Look to the outside world (n matter how dim you might see it) & seek some resolution.

Once you end your hunger strike I think you'd be in a much better frame of mind to think about who to leaver your collection to. Good luck!

Hold on ! Ivan
If I lived closer, I would have loved to meet you for a cup of tea or coffee and talk about our collections.
Thanks for concerns. let me clarify, this is not a post in regards to suicide, this hunger strike is a statement. Do i want it to end with me dying, no. Am I aware thats a possibility? of course.

I would just like some advice and considerations on what other people plan for their collections. Cause that's the one thing right now that I have any pride in. the only thing that kept me... well going... locked inside the past months.... with any personal progress with my social anxiety completely destroyed by this... sorry... but bullshit.... naw.

If we are seriously at the point where armed soldiers (that's what the police have become after-all)... can point a shot gun at a persons FACE... because their step mother failed to tell them when she called, that I called them upset about my friend who just died and my dad simply said. "I'm not doing this".... yea who's fault is that. I went to bed after crying my eyes out, and get woken up to shot guns in my face. If that's not a good enough reason to take a stand.... well... my god. then any type of "hope" you want me to consider... isn't hope at all.
There is also a thread I started earlier about a similar topic.

Thank you.

Sorry for the double topic post... essentially.

if I can't find a home to my coins in the future I will give it away on Numista for all to enjoy or donate it to the queen
1. Donate to the coin club

2. Or failing that, leave it to family members with strict instructions on how to dispose of it to good dealers. Not 2nd hand junk dealers or unscrupulous ones who will take advantage of the naievity of my niece or nephew (I am gay and my parents are dead, my brother is a drug addled piece of human jetsam and I have no kids). They can use the money to pay for funeral services, but I want my body to be donated to a forensic research facility (Body farm) for research, so my ghost can see myself turn into a teeth chattering skull!

After I am a skeleton, I wish to be cremated, so burying coins with me is not an option and seriously what a waste of good coins. Bodies are merely containers, the soul moves on.

3. If I catch cancer or some other terminal disease, I will sell off my coins in the time I have alive and use the money for a grand old party up before I die.
I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.
