Hi,

After finding and having added the BB Proof for this coin the same coin shop had one of these coin with 'No' die mark. I have looked and it doesn't look like it had been removed?

Sorry, should have been this link

Sorry missed this side
Is it virenium? Can you also get a closer image of where the die letters would normally be?

Hi,

It's weight is 9.5g, which is the same as the others I have and it is 22.6mm in diameter, which is the same as others. It is not magnetic.
How do you identify if it is Virenium?

I have tried to take some closer photos from different lighting angles to show any potential changes and I can't see any. What do you think. Bit of a puzzle.

Virenium is yellow...almost brassy. It is what circulating pounds and higher are made of.

I have attached a photo of a Virenium £2 coin and my 1983 AB £1 as well as the no die 1983 coin for colour comparison. The No die is on the top of the picture.

Would the weight be the same for different metals with same measurements?
Hi,

Is this a valid coin to be added to the catalogue?

Thanks
