Trading grab bag

6 posts • viewed 279 times
Hi all,

I was wondering if there is anybody who wants to make a grab bag trade (with a specific value, based on the values given on this site). From my site it will mostly contain Dutch coins (UNC, regular, Silver pre-war, Coincards).

I'am looking for trades from the US or Russia. If you are interested, please send me a message.

Greetings, Jeffrey
could you define "grab bag"?

thanks!

What I mean with a 'grab bag' is a bunch of coins from a specific country (for me the Netherlands for example) with a certain amount of value (so if somebody wants to trade some coins, we define the value it should at least be worth). For example, we trade, I send coins from the Netherlands, you send coins from Italy. We set a minimum value (based on ebay/numista or any other selling webpage) and we send each other a mystery bag with coins. Before both parties send it, they can negotiate what should be in it (like UNC/ coincards/ old coins/ silver/ ...)
That's a bad type of swap... Just do a normal swap with Netherland coins for USA ou Russia coins...
Everything i don't have basically.
I focus on Portuguese coins and european coins.
I can offer a "grab bag" of coins from Russia/USSR/Russian Empire (180 grams), but how can I understand what I receive in exchange?
It is better if you put all the coins you have to Numista and swap in usual way.
My personal list of scammers from Numista: erniemix, yvain, CassTaylor
Thanks for the replies. I will add my swap coins in Numista to start trades. I see why it is better to trade that way instead of mystery bags. Greetings
