appreciate any info you might have if you know or experienced sending coins from Italy and France to US in these times. I learned that it is not possible anymore from Germany unless sent by DHL ca 50 EUR.
Anybody knows for Italy and France? Is it possible to send registered mail to US?
In the past few weeks, I have received coins from Monaco and from France. The most recent package from France took 16 days by regular mail. The package from Monaco was registered mail.
I received a package of coins 10 days to 2 weeks ago from France. Shipping took about twice as long as it usually does, but other than the wait all was fine. The same can be said for my package going from the US to France.
I'm in Canada & still waiting a package that was supposed to be sent about 3rd week of April. Last time I looked, tracking stated it was in Italy late May. Before that - I got the message it was in transit (so I assumed it was on its way here) but later tracking stated it was still in Italy.
I had a seller from Singapore refund me money I paid on an item bought in mid-March. Still have not seen it (& don't expect to). Another item was paid for in mid April & I have contacted the seller again who believes it will arrive next week. So pandemic has definitely messed up typical mail services pretty bad.
I bought an item from the USA. We (the seller & I) paid $20 USD for registered mail. It sat in NYC customs for one month. I finally got it last week (5 weeks from when it was sent). That is very new & unprecedented in the 10 years I've been buying/selling.
I got something from Fedex waiting for me (& it appears as if that's the only way to go these days).
