Year list comments section too short [solved]

I entered an extremely long comment including a list of non-continuous serial number groupings on Banknote page https://en.numista.com/catalogue/note221693.html for variety P# S136d of the Philippines. The information could be typed into the Comments block on the year line but then the end was cut off in the display on the validated page. So for now I updated the page with the information in the general Comments section higher up on the page and made reference in the year line Comments block. I would imagine this is a very rare occurrence but I think the length of the Comment blocks needs to be increased for these rare occasions.

This would be the entire information I was trying to get in the year lists block:

"P# S136d; Back pen signature of treas., large facsimile signature of aud. and fiscal; serial numbers 22001 to 96700, 98901 to 106700, 108201 to 122900, 125001 to 127000, 128901 to 131000, 133301 to 133700; 135401 to 144500, 146301 to 147400, 149601 to 167100, 172901 to 185800, 187751 to 195574, 203572 to 205300"

Seems your solution is essentially the same as my interim solution: Display the information in COMMENTS. My way you type it in directly, once and done; your way, type it, make an image, enter the image, seems more work.

Comments to each line are not intended to be very long. I believe 255 characters is a reasonable limit, I will just make sure that the form prevents entering a longer comment to avoid unexpected cut-off.

For longer comments, I recommend adding them to the comment field for the banknote type. It allows a longer text so you don't need abbreviations and a better formatting. Pictures can be useful to show photos of the variants of the banknote. If you want to show a list of serial numbers or provide some descriptions, text is preferable:

• it's lighter too load
  
• it is more accessible for people who need to zoom in or use a screen reader
  
• it's easier for everyone to contribue if some serial numbers need to be added or removed in the future
  

Update: The form now limits to 250 characters.

Thank you, Xavier, for your quick response. It will be helpful that longer messages are blocked in the year line comments so members will know there is a problem to attend to. I am sure the cases will be very rare where longer messages are helpful and needed. The Philippine guerrilla banknotes are an exceptional case as the serial numbers are extremely helpful in separating varieties and good pictures of signatures are very hard to obtain due to the poor condition of most notes (the varieties often involve handwritten or handstamped countersignatures, not the regular signatures, and have often been washed away or smeared by liquid).
