Old Indian Copper Coins - Help needed

3 posts • viewed 189 times
Hello, I have 4 copper coins here I can't identify. The first 3 seem to be India, the last one I don't know.

1: 18.2 g, 20 mm
2: 10.3 g, 20 mm
3: 3.3 g, 14 mm
4: 7.0 g, 23 mm

Thanks for your help :)
Michael
The third coin looks like an example of the famous “bull & horseman” type of billon jital from northern historical India (including parts of Pakistan and Afghanistan). Millions of these were made, generally between 900-1300 AD, by numerous rulers, in dozens of varieties. It is often difficult to determine the variety. Here are a couple of good sources of information:

With the coin in hand it might be possible for you to determine the variety.

The first coin might be a civic copper from Iran.

It might help with IDs to post better-focused, larger, and lighter photos.
Thank you, the first one looks a bit like a Falus from Iran (Safavid), like this https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces195065.html

And I found the reverse of No. 2 a bit similar to this one https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces91117.html
