The first one is not accurate: the description is not about the images, such as the EG are not visible and the numeral 7 not described.
Despite of this both seems to describe the same emission.
Totally different monogram on the obverse, totally different cartouche on the reverse. Krause says major die varieties exist. In this case it's very major so I don't know if it's the same type. If it isn't, the 1764 isn't in Krause. If it is and these two coins will be merged, the 1764 pictures should be in the comments sector. If only the 1767 pictures are on the coin page members with a 1764 coin will think they have another coin and can't find theirs. But again, I'm not sure it's the same type and not being in Krause doesn't necessarily means the 1764 type doesn't exist.
The other linked coin seet will have the owners moved by a moderator and then it will be deleted.
Thank you
Paul

My humble experiences tells me that there should be change of style somewhere in between 1763 and 1767. It may touch both sides simultaneously or may change one side in one year and then the other side in some another year. Just more coins can reveal the real way.

You have just merged two different patterns! It was indeed two different types!
No, it does not look "better" at all and and it does not respect the rules of the catalog at all.
I can only agree with zenapt, some CR (change requests) should not just be executed
Typicall for some of German States coins to have a ton of different dies for a coin so many many varieties.
In this case as they share the same catalogue number I have opted for having it one one coin sheet but of course to show the variety.
I hope of course more varieties of this coin can also be shown.
There is one coin sheet but in the year lines and comments field the variat is shown. Once we have better info we can add that.
For now this sheet will stay like that with more than welcome additions of varieties.
Later we can show the varieties with the fitting Noss reference if someone has that to help.

"For now this sheet will stay like that with more than welcome additions of varieties."
No, because it violate the catalogue rules.
"In this case as they share the same catalogue number I have opted for having it one one coin sheet but of course to show the variety."
Which catalogue? Are we talking about the "Krause"?
Sorry, but I do not trust this catalogue? In this case, I suggest that you delete the entire catalog concerning ancient (roman or greek) coins...
As we can see, this coin have two DIFFERENTS patterns. So, the coin have to get two difference sheets... That's all.
@Xavier : please do something...

I have to say that Im disappointed and I do not like the tone with which you are writing here towards me.
Regarding the KM from Krause, yes I also do not like it much but it is still the main reference our whole site is based on and the reference most collectors worldwide will have in their homes.
sure especially for German States there are much better more precise reference books at least in most cases.
what is the relation with Roman and greek coins?
there is no Krause for German coins minted before 1500. No need to change anything.
I have said I will list the pages seperatly when someone can help me to provide the Noss references for the varieties, I have to check but I don‘t think I have this book.
I sure want to have all varieties listed individually if we can find the information and maybe also pictures.
The previous sheet which was deleted was rather poor in information.
The coin has probably much more than two variants, maybe even 200.
No need to directly act so aggressive and complain and directly call Xavier for help, we can act as good adult Numista members and first discuss this in a normal and calm matter here.
Reason why I have merged these is simple.
3 members asked me here + also by PM that these need to be absolutely merged.
For now I added the variety on the existing sheet as the sheet that was deleted was rather poor but once we have the information with the Noss catalogue number we can add the other varieties as well.
cheers and happy collecting,
Paul

Paul,
I don't think anybody is doubting your expertise, your knowledge or your integrity. At least I don't, just to make it clear from here on.
I think the person making that change request, is more in question.....

Everyone is of course entiteled to have their own views and Numista cannnot satisfy everyone.

I haven‘t as I have seen several other variants Which are basically on this coin sheet.
having the Noss reference for that would help in this regard.
Also with the 1764 Rococo shield I have seen several different variants with that year alone.
I would need someone to take care of this sheet and add the 40 or I don’t know for sure how manys variants seperatly.
Im currently busy as we most are, not only here but also in my private life with my work, my wife and my kids. I am adding many coins on here when I find the time but I can do that step by step, now Im working on completing Most of Brandenburg-Ansbach and I have about 6 more issuers on my list.
of course then busy with working on other additions and other requests from Numista users.
If you feel up to it I would more than welcome your help in adding in good quality sheets for the variants.
