Being bored during quarantine, I decided to message all of my friends and family friends regarding coins. The payoff has been amazing, some massive holes in my collection are filled and I even managed a silver score! Better yet, I’ve been put in touch with other coin collectors and convinced my little cousin to start collecting as well! Most of the coins are still being shipped (some modern coins from Barbados, Thailand, East Caribbean States and Morocco arrived the other day which has already filled my world coin album) but I’ll be sure to post pics as soon as they arrive!
Quarantine period made to realize that I can start my own Coin collection, it is a fun hobby!!! learning at the comfort of your own homes, it makes you travel back to old times/ history and travel to places and other countries just by reading about their present and old coins. :)

I agree. The quarantine changed perspectives. I have a pretty diverse collection I amassed over the years. Many pieces I bought on a whim and never really researched them well. While catching up on cleaning, I rediscovered some misplaced ancients and foreign pieces.....and the fire was ignited. One of my kids is fascinated by the history, the other more interested in the value. In any case, the younger girl now wants to go to a coin show. Of course, I’ll take her. I really could have been dangerous with the internet if it was available in the 90s...lol
