Sending stuff from India [solved]

5 posts • viewed 188 times
Hello all.
I joined Numista about a week ago and don't have any swaps yet. I was looking at postal tarrifs to various countries and got very confused as there are different types of packages having different tarrifs. Suppose if I am sending some banknotes(I am mainly focusing on banknotes at the moment) and a few coins, what is the cheapest way to send them. Someone from India kindly guide me through the process.
Thanks 😊
Dear Abhishek,

You can club both the coins and notes together in a small packet. I shall msg you the pics.
Postal Tariffs differ from one country to another depending on the distance.
If you want to post a small packet of around 150/200 gms to Europe, it will cost you around Rs.225/Rs.250.
If you want to send the same packet to Argentina, it will cost you around Rs.300.
Also, You have to write "Small Packet" above the address else the same packet will cost you four times more.

Warm regards,
Kabeer...
Thank you for the help. There are some more things that I am confused about. And what do I write on the customs declaration form? Should I mention coins or banknotes or something else? Also what do I write under value of the contents?
Dear Kishore,

Please write "Hobby Material", Tokens & Coins or Collectables under customs declaration.
Under value, please declare total how many coins you are sending and the value.
Like if there are 25 coins, declare around Rs.400.
If 35-40, declare Rs.500. if there are old then Rs.600. like that.

Kabeer...
Thank you so much for all the help 😊
