There seems to be some confusion with another company:
https://www.deutsche-nickel.de/unternehmen/
Deutsche Nickel, founded 150 years ago in Schwerte.
But I don't think this was a mint.

So I think the VDN in Dusseldorf is correct.

Unless you have some other reference?
