Unknown token (?) [solved: 500 Lira Turkey] [solved]

Hello everybody!

Most probably this is not a coin but a one-sided token - poorly preserved. I found it in a world-coin-lot and I have no idea about its origin.

Weight: 5.52g
Diameter: 23mm
Material: brass (by view)

One side shows a head facing left with a short inscription above. It looks like "E CIMH" followed by an unrecogniseable sign. The other side seems to be plain.

Maybe someone knows a bit more about this type?
It looks like a worn down coin from Turkey -
with lettering TÜRKİYE CUMHURİYETİ partly visible.

Given the diameter and weight, this looks most likely as to what it was ...

From that I made this for comparison ...

Thank you very much for the ultra fast identification and comparison!

I just compared it to a 500 Lira coin in my collection too and it fits - even though the piece lost some weight... poor coin...
