You can reference the Central Bank of Myanmar website for the first date of issues:
https://www.cbm.gov.mm/content/series-bank-notes-and-coins
As far as I know, the Myanmar notes do not have the dates printed on them (at least the ones that I own do not have them .. full disclosure :))

Hi everyone,
Thank you for the replies.
I have 50 Kyats and 100 Kyats notes. I know that they where issued in 1994 and 1997 but can't tell them apart.
The Central Bank of Myanmar website does have the first issue of each type but that is it.
Maybe by the serial number on them it is possible to tell the year. But can't find a reference to it.
Best regards

For the 50 it's the watermark, I think it should be the same for the 100
