I didn't add the years for the currency: the notes were issued as emergency currency during Japanese occupation just in '42 but circulated and were exchangeable until later. So I don't know if there is already a precedent on Numista for this, but I feel the dates should indicate the circulation of the currency, right?

Definitely a genuine Gilbert & Ellice Islands Government note.

There was also a 1 Pound note printed for Fanning Island during World War II.
