How do you store coins without much worth?
Do you use 2x2s or sort them in bags or boxes?
I personally sort them into plastic bags by country.

Do you also separately store more valuable coins from those countries?
I only have two albums (from many years ago)
for UK coins - one pre-decimal and one decimal.
So yes, even more valuable coins are in bags like those.
Or sometimes just in old bread plastic bags rather than self-seal ones.
My place, and collection such as it is, (and life) is a mess. :|

I think some bread bags might have PVC.

Just to be sure, I recommend trying this.
"Just immerse a piece of the plastic in a glass containing a solution of 2 tablespoons of salt in 8 ounces of water. If it stays on the bottom it is PVC. If it floats it is ABS."

Coins that are modern change coins made out of base metal - Coins in packed sets that I won't open or are not worth opening.

Many of the plastic bags contain a separate country which I either keep or onsell, as I have bought in enough to sell it for a few $$$ on trade me.

I make sure there are no silver coins (unless very base silver, worn or extremely low value), nothing over 100 years unless super common and/or corroded.

Any UNC or nice coins go in a proper album, as I buy more pages and albums I have upgraded the living situations of some, the first photo shows a 1982 UK uncirculated set and a 1985 pound along with some 1953 UNC coins underneath. I can now tell you these are in my main albums, each coin in a mylar flip, no longer exposed to wear!

Both sets had to be rescued from original packaging falling apart. Many of my 1960s and 1970s kiwi sets come in stained and rotting PVC packaging and also need rescuing, they spend a few days in fresh air to chemical adjust from 50 years + in PVC - then get the mylar treatment - sadly a bit of toning occurs, but its better than the coin rotting forever.
I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.
