Do you keep just coins of one type or all the dates and mint marks of the same type?
Do you guys search lots of world coins or just buy them individually?
If you search world coin lots do you keep coins you wouldn't go out and buy
that you knew of? If that all made sense.
And just is general what kind of stuff do you collect?
I currently am mostly focusing on coins from the USSR and would likely be happy to swap for them.
I personally collect by type, however when I first started I collected whatever country I didn't have.
Yes, I search lots, buy by the pound (which is great when you first start, you'll find a lot for your collection) and individually when it comes to scarcer coins (like Greenland or Hawaii)
Mostly I don't, unless it's a deal like 5 for a dollar and I have only 3, or if I want to spruce up my swap list.
Some people collect by type, year, mint mark, or they collect a specific theme (like animals, plants, automobiles or buildings).
That's the great thing about coin collecting, there's no right or wrong way to collect, it's 100% what YOU want to collect.
Looking to continue completing my collection.
I am currently only trading in the US. Will consider international if swap is good and worth it.
