1 Krone 1912 Norwary

hello all,

I am wondering if anyone can kindly help.
I have acquired a 1912 1 Kroner Norway and would like to confirm 100% its authenticity.
I have scales coming and have done the standard magnet slide and it appears to be the right diameter and thickness.

If anyone can help it is greatly appreciated. Thanks I have attached the photos of my coin (in the flip) and a stock photo of a genuine one for comparison. I don't know if these coins are faked at all- I am just looking for some peace of mind
If all metrics check out I would assume it's genuine, from the looks of it nothing screams "I am fake" to me.
Could you make high quality pictures of your coin (in the same setting, the ones you posted are in different lightings and positions) they would be an improvement on what we have right now.

Hello there, many thanks for the reply. I have tried to take the best photos I can, however I do not have a professional camera. The diameter appears to be 25mm rather than 25.5mm as numista states.

I don't have accurate scales, however I have ordered some and will weigh it when they arrive. PLease see the photos attached.
Many thanks
Elliott
I think a simple ruler isn't the most accurate thing.
In addition to your precision scale you should als acquire a digital caliper they are relatively cheap and you can use them for many other things in the house to.

I also don't have a good dedicated camera I use my smartphone and simple contraption similar to this with a bit of lighting around.

Strangely your first pictures are a tat better than the new ones (8 so I cropped the first ones and tried to color correct them a bit but I can't completely get rid of the different lighting.
Hi- thanks again for the feedback.

I tried a number of rulers around the house, however they all appear to show 25mm not 25.5mm. I have tested a number of other coins' diameter using the ruler vs their numista values and they are all +/- 0.1-2mm or so (as good as my eyes can tell).

Many thanks for the photos. I borrowed my wife's iphone 11 and really tried to take the best photos, and I have zoomed them in on my computer to a very high magnification without much blurring.

In your opinion would you say this coin is likely to be real? is this a typically faked coin?
My personal opinion is that it's real and the chance or a fake is minimal.
But maybe wait for someone who owns this coin too to compare dimesions.
Hi, that's great news. I acquired it in a job lot with many other coins so am not too worried if it turns out not to be genuine, but was thinking to potentially get it graded at some point in the future (but am slightly worried it looks cleaned).
Thanks again for your help!

All the best
Elliott
