Where can I get a € 100,- banknote in the Netherlands?

Over the years large denomination banknotes have become rarer and rarer in the Netherlands. I have ever banknote of the first (1st) series, I received the 100 (one-hundred) and 200 (two-hundred) banknotes from a Rabobank ATM and later had to order a 500 (five-hundred) Euro banknote at the Rabobank. In case of the € 500,- denomination I have often heard the saying that "only car and drug dealers ever use them" and most people remember seeing a € 500,- as vividly as their first kiss. But over a decade after getting these large denominations in my collection cash payments have become a rarity.

I rarely get special € 2,- coins anymore these days and Rabobank ATM's no longer dispatch denominations higher than € 50,-

After the new series of Euro banknotes were introduced the € 500,- wasn't renewed while all the others were. I currently have collected all of them except for the two (2) largest denominations.

So does anyone know where I can easily get a € 100,- banknote? I have tried exchanging it at a supermarket but always hear that they either never or rarely carry them, furthermore at banks I have to order at least 20 (twenty) of a certain banknote in order to get one, which I personally find a waste of money. So where can I find these new banknotes.
Go to your local bank teller and ask for one (if you have the luck to still be able to be served by a living person in the next 50km radius at least :~).
I actually tried this before the pandemic. However, at the ING Bank it required me to withdraw at least € 2000,- at a time, at the SNS Bank they don't even carry cash anymore (they stopped years ago), at the ABN-AMRO I need to withdraw at least € 10.000,- at a time, and the Rabobank also € 2.000,- all without guarantee that it will contain a banknote from the new series. I did start asking around at the Poiesz supermarket, but they only sparsely carry it.

At this point I am beginning to think that these larger denominations aren't circulating at all. Though I also don't want to spend extra money and purchase it through eBay. Because I could end up paying a premium for a regular circulation banknote from a country where I live.

I had a similar issue in Taipei, the largest denomination New Taiwan Dollar is also basically impossible to find nowadays.
Don't know how it's in the Netherlands but in Germany the 50€ is the work horse but I use the 100 and see other do it too regularly. When I make an appointment by my bank to make a bigger withdraw 1000€+ I can get 50s, 100s, 200s etc. but yes I can imagine that you wont get just a single bill because most branches don't carry much money unless for specific orders they have to get from the mainbranch or elsewhere.
Maybe this sounds a bit blunt, but why don't you order twenty 100's, keep one and then deposit the remaining amount on your account? It's still money after all :P

Once they are allowed to open again, you could perhaps try a nearby 'casino', like Fair Play or Jack's. A friend of mine used to work there and at that time regularly talked of 100-200-500 banknotes being exchanged there to be able to play. (Perhaps those playing are the "car and drug dealers", you referred to ;).) Good luck!
In Moscow, almost in any bank you can withdraw 500 euro. Moreover, if you ask for 1000e they tell.. Sorry, we have only 500 e notes, is it ok? 😀.. And if you ask for 100, they tell, we cannot help, we have 500 e notes in the safebox😀
Best regards,

Wow, thank you, that's some great advice.
ATMs are exploding way too often here in the Netherlands, so I'm not surprised that most of the banknotes there are 10 and 20 euros
