Can a Numisdoc be created for how to use all the features of the advanced search as I am sure that some people do not know what all the fields mean/do. Also some people might not know that you can use symbols such as " or wildcards.
I'm not sure a Numisdoc article would really help people to use the advanced search functionality: I guess most people would not know that such an article exists. I prefer that all the explanations are on the search page itself.
For that purpose, there are some question mark icons which provide search tips. Do you think they should be improved?
(A Numisdoc article could actually be useful to describe very advanced use cases, for instance searching coins without a picture, etc.)
i would hope that people who use the advanced searching features would also look at the numisdocs. But this is not a given. the ? are helpful. But an extended doc would be helpful, i am happy to start one if needed.
The idea of putting an intelligence question mark icon on a specific point is very interesting.
Taking the case of a creation change of sheet, the Numisdocs exist, the link is frozen at the head of the page of creation modification and at the head of forum catalog, they are complete so very long to read and remember
A could refer to the specific article of the numisdoc
There is an article planned for this in the new FAQ section on “How to find a coin, banknote or exonumia” in the catalogue.
It mentions the basics, various filters, some “tricks” (search for empty parameter on a page, wildcard, etc.)
My bad, I must confess I did not finish it yet 😬 I will complete and publish it (and update/publish a couple more) in the coming week.

This example for lettering search implies that the search will search for something specific like ‘Great Britain’ but the asterisk search doesn't work like it's implied here.
It doesn't give you all pages containing the words ‘great’ and Bri(A-z, …, A-z)N somewhere but all pages containing ‘great’ and strings beginning with ‘bri’. It it's far less precise.
