I briefly looked at the history of the chat and did not see anything similar. Why do you think women collect coins less often? I see a few women (if ever) at coin shows, almost all members at Numista that I encountered are men. Just curious, what are your thoughts?
I'm sure you mean well but believe me nothing good can come of asking that question. Any answer that's given will lead to someone being offended and turning the topic into a discussion about gender politics which will end in members being banned or rage quitting.
I collect and deal in ancient Roman coin. In case you're looking for affordable ancient coins or need any help with the coins you already have send me a message.

Damn, did not think about that...
Ladies and gentlemen, please be nice, careful and polite to each other.
It's a non-social hobby which most women have less interest in, the social image and that it's a fringe hobby anyways.
P.S. not giving a crap about fee-fees
Because if the ladies in my family are any indication, they spend them as fast as they get them. They are more interested in collecting new footwear and expanding their wardrobes..
There are women collectors, anyone collecting top tier Injun's will be familiar with one but they are quite a rarity. Didn't see a single female run stall at the FUN convention but there were a few helping out their blokes and making tea and sammiges. Some of the organisers were female so maybe they just go for different roles. Can't blame them, dealing with coin collectors or even worse dealers (see post elsewhere about the shortcomings of coin dealers), wouldn't be my ideal job either.
So while they do indeed exist and are generally more pleasant to deal with, it has to be stated - there are no women on the internet. I think it's in the Geneva Convention, they're banned or something.
I'd bet my last dollar that at least two of the girlies here are confused boys, one looking for cheap thrills and the other adding an extra string to the scamming bow. Probably more, but it's 2020 so anything goes I reckon. The rest of them are FBI plants looking for some wretched flabby boomer trying to get his groove on with teenage girls. Should I tell you what happened to one of our local pastors? Nah, better not.
You've been warned.
Oh, there's one exception. If you're reading this thinking, "Phil, how could you?" then it's probably you. You're cool.
Non illegitimis carborundum est. Excellent advice for all coins.

If you want to spend the day with women collect buttons. They have shows auctions trade of all kind, and the subjects are vast and varied historical as coins ,and a lot of scolarly literature. The button community is no more than 10 percent men. There are indeed male and female interests that is all.

I am a she-collector and I have been able to continue in my hobby for a very long time, from when I was 7 year old.
I think that the reason is that coin collecting takes time, and usually women have less free time. If you hva some children until they are grown up you will have no time for coins, as well as if you have an engaging work.
I havent' children but an engaging work and so during my life sometimes I had to stop taking care of my collection. Today finally I am able to read on Numista and to look at the coins, but during the last three weeks I had no chance since working from home is much more demanding than going to the department.
By the way, are other she collectors around?
Up to now, I have been able to swap only with two of them
Buon pomeriggio
