At my school summer fair, I have just got a Mary Rose £2 coin. Really pleased. Just thought I'd share that. Saved buying it from the Royal Mint.

  That's cool - I have just been to my local Church Fête; all I got there was a forged one pound coin! Though a girl at work yesterday kindly gave me my first King James Bible two pound coin, for just the £2 face value. So I used it to make the edge image on the page ...

that mintages are both just 250,000 and were both issued last year. Coincidence - as we got our first ones today! Are those mintages right, for circulation coins - just 1/4 million each?

That is a coincidence. Well, I believe the figures are correct. I was helping counting the money...a perk of being part of the PTA!
I got a few more Olympic coins, saw a couple of forgeries but didn't want them to come home with me! I was also looking out for the 1999 2p (Bronze)...no luck there. I've nearly completed my second set of Olympic coins!

just got 2 in change at post office. been ages since they were released.

same with james bible - got 1 with the above change
good counter assistant keeps an eye out for me.

I have to say the people I talk to are usually quite good to help me out with some coins. Sometimes I don't have to buy anything and the counter assistants will just give me coins for the exchange.
I'd like a King James Bible £2 coin if anyone has one going spare...we can exchange something I am sure.

Yay! I just picked up a King James Bible today! Had my hair cut and the guy gave me one in my change! Yes!

Just about...he missed some hair around my ears...I picked up some more coins at a boot fair and I saw someone with a King James £2 in their pot, asked if I could swap...he did. So, that'll go into my AUNC/UNC box!
