Button for replication. [solved]

It will be very useful to have a button to duplicate (clone) the data of any part.
There are many pieces that have very close characteristics, often changing only the obverse and / or reverse images.
In these cases, if there is a button (on the part change page that you want to clone) that allows the creation of a new part by copying the main data of the part used as a model, it will considerably speed up the insertion of this eventual new part.

As I recall, there was a discussion over this and general management thinks such approach leaves doors open for mistakes.

Maybe a temporal solution to the problem is creating a new tool like "user customized template" for adding new stuff. On such template users could save some data, that is occurring as same (or very similar?) in desired fields. After opening such template in the sense of adding new page, user adds more (or rather all available) data and saves as a new page. I guess there could be more mandatory fields after adding new page only thru such template, as they are right now on the page (which does not need more mandatory fields - at the moment): https://en.numista.com/catalogue/contributions/nouveau.php?type=coin

I was indeed afraid it can generate some mistakes in case a field is forgotten to be changed. Still, this feature was eagerly asked for at the last referee call, as it would save much time. A cumbersome process or unreliable duplicate methods may equally increase the risk of mistakes due to lower attention. We can adjust if the functionality is not well understood or if it leads to too many mistakes.

Anyway, it will certainly facilitate contributions to the catalogue, which is always good and I'm sure it will be appreciated by many contributors to the catalogue 🙂
