How was your trip...?

Did you find yourself using local currency or did you bring some greenbacks...?

PS: I know you're from Canada but I don't think they accept your dollars down there?

The trip was wonderful. Nice weather, great people, fantastic landscapes and views, and very good food.
​I did find a bunch of Guatemala and Honduras coins I was missing. My 1900+ completion rate for Guatemala went from 34% to 75%! (by type), and I bought a few 1800's ones as well. We also found quite a few older silver 1$ fakes for sale, easily identifiable for their look, and as they were smaller than their real silver counterparts. Knowing this I bargained to buy one cheap (3$ for the fake instead of 100's for the real) Central American Rep. 8R KM#4 which I will likely never get to own.
We took U$ for our trip but there were a couple places where they readily accept $Cad (and most bigger exchange shops do accept Canadian funds).
