Disappearing issuer: City of Riga

Having apparently recently added a coin from City of Riga, I decided to check which other coins this issuer has.
However, I found, to my surprise, that Numista finds no coins for the issuer... yet shows me as having 4 coins from it.

(I've expanded the options to confirm that I didn't accidentally exclude anything.)

The issuer is listed in some contexts (e.g. my own coins list) under Livonia - Swedish, and in other contexts (e.g. search results) without any specific upper categories.
The country list agrees with the search results in that the only 3rd level issuer under the Livonia - Swedish 2nd level category is Livonia - Swedish; no City of Riga to be seen anywhere.

Any ideas what the triangular heck is happening?
(I suspect it's a slight reorganization that hadn't hit some areas of the website yet, but it still looks pretty darn weird.)
You caught that rather quickly. Bravo. ;)

The country list updates on a daily cycle, and this issuer was added today. So tomorrow (well, in a couple hours), everything should start appearing properly.

Most coins from Swedish Livonia were just for the city (occupation of Riga and siege of Riga), where as some were for the whole of Livonia (occuptaion of Livonia). So... separate issuers have beeen created. :)
Thanks! Never understood why they weren't different issuers in the first place :)

I caught this because my issuer count seemed to have gone up by one (from 352 to 353), and I was wondering which issuer was added, because I didn't recall having added any coins from new issuers lately.
It so happened that I've bought a Swedish Riga coin on Saturday (though I already had two other coins of that type alone), and the question mark flag in the journal (for City of Riga) made me immediately suspicious about it being the new issuer (which it was, but for a different reason).

...Come to think of it, are you going to split the Duchy of Livonia as well? And if yes, will the Polish Riga coins end up under the same issuer as the Swedish Riga coins?
No problem. :)

There are no plans to split the Duchy of Livonia. While there are distinct differences between the two eras of coins, the ones minted at Riga were not just meant just Riga, if I recall correctly. Those at Dole Castle were meant for all of Livonia; those at Riga were also meant for all of Livonia, but were also compatible with the coins meant for Poland and Lithuania under the commonwealth. So... same issuer here.

While only the Dole Castle coins specify Livonia... the dates of the coins kind of explain the situation. Sweden first occupied Riga in 1621, and started minting the city coins the same year. Sweden gained the rest of Livonia in 1629. But the last coin struck in Riga under the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth was in 1624 (and before that, 1622). Those coins... should not have circulated in Riga. The dates do not allign. But the dates do allign if it was meant for the rest of Livonia.

That is my logic, at least. 0:)
So that's why I only have 1 Swedish Livonia coin right now in my dashboard rather than 2 (got them last friday when both were under Swedish Livonia).

By the way, City of Riga is not appearing on the dashboard map.
Good catch. I will make a request to have it added to the map, but because this is a new issuer, more work is needed (currencies, ruling authorities, descriptions, "See also" links, flags). Regardless, it is on the list. :)
