Help!

I searched this coin but I can't find it...

the front has a lettering PHILIPPINE NATIONAL BANK on top then the logo on the middle....
Ribbon like drawing on the front also bearing the dates 1916-1991

The obverse or back has a drawing of an old masonic temple....Lettering OLD MASONIC TEMPLE

also in the obverse is the lettering WILL OF THE DIAMOND...

Do you know what this is? I think it is a token....
Best Regards,
Collin
Please help...it has a mintmark below the picture of the masonic temple...the mintmark is the same as the mintmark in the Philippine coins..
Best Regards,
Collin
Hello Collin26,

Post a picture to help us see what you are seeing.
I agree with ctucker, for others to be able to comment on what you are looking at, pictures of both sides would be really helpful. The weight and diameter of the item is also important for identification purposes.
Just because you can't see it ... doesn't mean it isn't there - Anon.

After a brief research it really looks like a Masonic token to me.
Cents are money too!
Hello collin26 and congratulations on finally succeeding in uploading pictures to the forum. The next thing you might need to do is look at different ways of lighting the subject - there was a post from ZacUK recently about using a sheet of plastic or glass raised up with the coin on it but I can't seem to find it at the moment. Perhaps if someone reads this and knows the topic I'm talking about then they could post the link here.

Regarding your question, I think it is a token but I'm not sure for what purpose. It might be some sort of commemorative piece from the Philippine National Bank which was established as a government-owned banking institution on July 22, 1916. I'm not sure what relevance the 1991 has except that privatization of the bank began in 1989 - so maybe 1991 was the date when the Philippine Government ceased to be the controlling share-holder?

Perhaps no other reason than the 75-year anniversary - as in 3/4 of a century ?

I have made a few improvements to the system - still not as good as I would like, but getting better. Now found a small pane of actual glass (could be larger though) and three taller tubes. The 2011 five pence is too new and shiny, so some reflections, especially daylight flare on top left edge; so I tried an older darker coin as well. The main idea is a) no shadows, and b) a white background ...
