Please post any coins here that you find (in circulation only) along with a photo (not compulsory) and I will do my best to try and keep the list as up to date as possible. Let the hunt begin

Quote: "TCon"I got my first 2020 US quarter today - It's from the Denver mint (see the little D).
Seriously though, it'll be 4 or 5 months before I see anything new :(
lol, nice try though. It will be the same for UK coins, still missing loads from previous years ourselves.

At least you're not in New Zealand, I was excited to find a 50c from 2018 the other day.
Quote: "Collectable Cash"Only 2020 coin I’ve found is the brexit 50p though soon to go on a trip to Croatia so I’m pretty sure I’ll find some there
Hi, was this found in circulation or received from a bank? I have one, but I bought from ebay for £1.99, so can't count it as "found" :)
Thanks, Phil.
The date of taking the photos is 20th February. (That was from an exchange office, got 2 of them, put them into circulation)
Today I got one in my change. Might have been the same even.
I'm in the U.S. (Florida) - still no luck with 2020 coins in loose change. At least not yet. I've also been looking for W mint mark quarters - no luck there either.
I only found a 2019 Dollar last week, so who knows when a 2020 coin comes out here in New Zealand, where we STILL don't mint our own coins.
Still reliant on Mama England.
I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

10, 20, & 50 Cents are now struck in Canada at the Winnipeg branch of the Royal Canadian Mint.
Only the 1 Dollar & 2 Dollars are struck in Wales at the Royal Mint, Llantrisant.
Coins for the sets are struck at various mints in Europe, such as the Royal Dutch Mint in Utrecht.
I got a 2019 20 Cents in my change a few weeks ago.
No 2020 coins yet, but I have 2020 banknotes. Two new Turner £20s. Exchanged my old ones at the bank as soon as I could, so I got mine pretty much uncirculated. I have a 2020 Brexit 50p but I bought the BU from the royal mint so I didn’t find it in circulation. Two 2019s though. One 50p (Dent reverse) and a Serbian 5 dinara I found on the floor. All coins mentioned are now in my collection. Obviously the 2019 coins mentioned aren’t worth much, but they’re nearly uncirculated so they look pleasant as album fillers. And the 5 dinara was my first (and only) Serbian coin.
My first 2020 US nickel was in mid-Feb, just about normal as release patterns go. Then the first US quarter not too long after that.
Then nothing...until yesterday (2020-D cent) and today (2020-D dime). It's like they were holding up releases until this COVID situation started clearing.
Looking at this thread, its obvious that Eastern Europe and Malaysia don't muck around.

Hi, I found one coin of 5 euro cents dated 2020 from Spain (my country) today in my change. Is curious because I can't get yet the oficial 2020 Euroset or coins from Spain in my shop (is closed due to Covid).
Is this the first 2020 euro coin posted in this threat?
Sorry for my basic english.
Regards, Oscar from Barcelona

Quote: "DoubleEggbert56"Ooh, I've got some! I got 1 of these:
Canada - 2 Dollars - Commemorative: Bill Reid (uncoloured) - 2020
I also have 6 of these:
Somehow forgot to report: got a 2 rubles 2020 in change a few days ago.
And a week or two earlier, together with the 2015 coin I mentioned in the other thread, I received a Moscow Oblast 10 rubles - my first commemorative coin dated 2020 (...not counting the one I bought, anyway).

Never heard of that coin - not been keeping up with recent commemorative UK coins.
I guess it is Karma that I got that nice coin in change today, as I was buying food for a stray cat.
Would be you guys first, here in Lockdownville, Jacinta has pretty much banned cash.

Hi fellow collectors
I’ve created the 2021 version of this so you can post your 2021 coins found in circulation on there.
Hi to whoever is reading this. Did you know that TYPEWRITER (on a QWERTY keyboard) is the longest word you can type using only the letters on one row of the keyboard.

I wait ages for 2020 coins, now five days after my first one,
I get two of the same coin in change.
I got my first 2020 coins in December 2020 while doing a 5p coin hunt.

Found a Brazilian 10 centavos yesterday at street (sometimes I get lucky and find a coin on the sidewalk or gutter). Still shiny but already with scratches for being in the asphalt.
Yesterday my mother got brazilian 5 and 50 centavos as change.
The 5 centavos I reported some months ago, and 50 centavos was the last one unreported. So now we have the full circulating series on this year's thread.

Thank you for reporting them all Giobruno, I have updated the list
Hum, I don't know if it qualifies here, but here it goes:
Days ago I bought a few coins from a man that got them as change in a very recent travel. One of that coins is a Japan 500 yen with the date Reiwa 2, which means last year.
Found £2.50 at various vending machines at college today and a 2020 10p was one of them.
2014,2017 5p
1992,2020 10p
2007 20p
2008 £2
