250 shillings Somali Republic 2008 - olympics

Hi everyone,
I just got a coin from Somali Republic. I can't find on numista database to add to my collection.

And even on websites, it is hard to find information.

The only website that I found some technical info, it's on the link below:
http://koinpro.tripod.com/WorldCoins/Somalia2008GamesCoinOffer.htm

Anyone have any more info about this coin?

Thank you.

Best regards,
Lucas Lorenzi.
The main problem with this kind of supposedly legal tender fantasy issue is that the country itself is not existig anymore when the coin issued :°

Hi Frenchlover,
Thank you for your reply. I understand what you're saying. But if you check on coins for "Somalia", even the circulating ones, they still call themselves as "somali republic". Some examples of circulating coins of 2013:

https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces61876.html
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces61877.html

And, in 2008 there is several "supposedly legal tender fantasy issue" on the numista catalogue, as per examples below:
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces85297.html
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces158963.html

So, I would like to get more info on the coin that I got, and if possible find a way to add it to the catalogue also.

Thank you.

Best regards,
Lucas Lorenzi
How much did worth 20 Shillings on 2013 when the exchange rate was 15,000 SOS/USD ...
There are only commercial issues. There are two denominations "Somali republic" that seems to refer to the previous governments before the 1969 Somali coup d'état and "republic of Somalia" after the civil war.
Exemples you give of presumably circulation coins after the civil war are highly suspicious.

Anyway, to add a coin you must fill the Add it yourself! form
