No more Syrian Pound?

I'm just a little confused about what happened with the Syrian pound. This might've been changed a long time ago, but why? I guess the Arabic name is Lirah, then we should change Egypt and Sudan as well, to just name a few.

Also, what happened with Lebanon, etc? I thought we had looooong discussions a few years back to not rename the currencies and using special characters and Arabic plurals.
Personally I'm all for having Ġirsh/Piastre, Qirshā/Piastres and Līrāt/Pound, but what happened with the consistency? We either have it on all, or none. But now there's just a little here and there, which looks sloppy.
+1 for consistency
