You don't really need to find the mintmark, all coins produced in 1942 and 1943 have the mintmark because they were all produced in the States. It was seen as safer to transport coins from the States during WWII than it was to transport them from the UK. That's also the reason the 1942 and 1943 silver coins are minted in the US silver standard of 90% whereas the rest were minted in 50% silver like other countries in the pacific like New Zealand.
