Hi Guys
Anybody any idea on these?

Cheers

Hey there.

Stop buying Chinese coins. They're all fake and I'm worried you'll spend a lot of money on fake coins. The text on the coins are too bold and the rims are too fine.

If you didn't buy them, good, cause they're copies.

Go to Country list (on top left here) then find each coin from there.
Once you find a coin, you can
  • 1  Enter it in your collection, using any of five grades
  • 2  Enter it your exchanges, in sixth box on the page
  • 3  Mark it if you want to get one, or not, by ticking a box

You can also Search on top left.
There is a section on coin grades, and lots more in Numisdoc, at top of page.
You can enter a coin - see below where yours is not on here.
Welcome to the site.  :)

Is yuan the same as a dollar - if so then this is the value. The coin is not on Numista yet. Just seen an eBay listing, and that says it is the same, and also gives the Y# 65.2 reference like below ....

P.S. Just typed that quickly - examples of what I refer to are to follow in my next reply ...

Country list >  https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pays.php
Search >  https://en.numista.com/catalogue/index.php
Numisdoc >  https://en.numista.com/numisdoc/
Add a coin >  https://en.numista.com/catalogue/contributions/nouveau.php

So as you are new, here are four screen images that may help ...

  • 1  On top left of most pages is The catalogue
where the Country list and the Search are found

  • 2  Not sure what coins you have, so I chose, from the Country list, Albania as an example

  • 3  Then if you wanted to find 1988 coins from there, type in the Keywords box, then click Search

  • 4  Using, as an example again, the 1 Lek coin from that search, here is what a page looks like. On there are the five coin grades VG F VF XF UNC and you type a number in the box (so the - is replaced) if you have coins in your collection. Or if you have some for Exchange, put a number in the sixth box. You can make your own notes about the coins by clicking in the Personal comment? box also.
Just above there are two boxes - you can tick in I wish to get this coin if you do not have one but need it for your collection, or tick the second box I don't wish to get this coin if you do not need one. Then either a red heart or a grey cross will appear against that coin for future reference. Which will be handy for any swaps you might make in the future - but that is for a later date!

All those mentioned above are what most members are used to doing, but like you said if you are brand new here it is a lot to learn. Let me know if you have other queries, and there is a Topic created a week ago that has other answers on also (further down the page) ...

If you did want to see a Swap page, see my reply - Posted: 22-Jun-2012, 07:18PM
on that Topic; there is a screen image of the hearts and crosses mentioned, so you can see their purpose to help make swap choices easier.
