I'm taking a little trip to Europe and the Middle East later this month, and there's a chance of visiting some coin shops and possibly buy some coins. I think I'll be mailing my stuff home from Paris, if there's anything, but that will be after I've been to India, UK, Spain, Netherlands and Belgium.
As far as I can see, bringing a handful of coins in carry-on luggages (in or out) shouldn't be a problem (unless it's Turkey, I guess), but can anyone confirm this? Considering my interests, it'll probably and at the most just be a few ancients and/or 17-18th century pieces, mostly silver. Or should I try to avoid carrying them on plane?
Shouldn't be a problem but as stated some countries have very strict rules for taking out older or ancient objects from their countries. I know also Egypt and even in some cases Italy can be problematic.
