Has anyone any ideas about this Irish half-penny of George II dated 1737?
27.5mm and 8.12g

This is the right date but wrong dimensions, while this -

has the wrong date but right dimensions.
Which leads me to think I may have an unofficial halfpenny. Is that right? And if so, where should it be catalogued?

I suspect that your first link has wrong measurements on the page.
Then the date would be alright for that coin. A search ...

has only two results - so in Ireland in 1738 if someone had both those coins
in their pocket, then how would they tell them apart, with only the 1mm difference?
Also I am sure your size matches those of that time in UK for the 1/2 Penny.

Thanks Zac. I'm sure you are right about that. It would be strange to have half pennies fractionally smaller than farthings. I've searched and searched on google to find dimensions of the 1737 halfpenny but haven't found it yet. I wouldn't like to request a change until I had proof.

Hello Petrus. I'm not sure of your meaning except that the coin does look a bit like lead! But that is my bad photography.8~ It is copper...
