2€ commemorative coins to swap

5 posts
Hello all,

This is my first post in the forum.

I am from Spain and I would like to change my repeated 2€ commemorative coins with anyone abroad, as here in Spain, we all have the same ones repeated. The idea is to change them for any other euro commemorative foreign coins (even several copies of same coins) in order to change them here in Spain.

I am pretty sure that out there are many collectors with my same problem willing to change their repeated French/Italian/Portuguese or whatever coins for my Spanish ones!

Currently I have the following ones to change:

SPAIN:
- 4 x 2015: 30 years European flag
- 2 x 2015: Altamira
- 4 x 2014: Throne change
- 1 x 2012: 10 years euro coins
- 1 x 2009: 10 years European Monetary Union
- 1 x 2005: 500 years Quixote

GERMANY
- 1 x 2017: Rheinland-Pfalz (D)

FRANCE
- 1 x 2018: French presidency of the European Union

ITALY:
- 1 x 2006: Turin winter Olympic games

BELGIUM:
- 1 x 2005: Belgium-Luxembourg economic union

I have also included them in my swap list.

Regarding the ones I am looking for, I have just started collecting so almost any other coin apart from the Spanish (or German) ones will work for me.

I will try to keep this post updated.

Kind regards,
Mikeien
Welcome,

you can also use the "start a swap" function under Exchanges tab to look for members who might match with your interests. Compare the "Coins that may interest me" column with "Coins that may interest him/her". It's not perfectly accurate, but it will help you narrow down the search to potential swap partners. You should also start creating your want list in numista just how to created a swap list. It will help you quickly identify when a person has coins you are looking for.

Before opening any swap, make sure to read the profile of the person and message him/her before opening a swap

best of luck
Thanks for the advice ashlobo,

I have started including all the commemorative coins I have and the ones I wish to get in order to start swaps, but it is going to take me a while, haha.

By the way, I have selected the option "the coins which I'm missing and which are in my wish list, but not in the list of coins I don't wish"

In this way I will be offered euro commemorative coins (as those are the only ones I will select). If I am understating it well, if I choose the first option (missing or wish list) I would be offered any type of coins from everywhere, right?

PD: I have found how to do it with a criterion so I don't have to add them individually.

you're on the right track with that wish list criteria. However, even still you maybe get offers for swap which are not euro related. Similarly, you might approach someone where it seems they would be interested in your list, but it durant turn out to be true. The software is not perfect, so don’t get surprised in such cases. Remember to not get frustrated, but rather politely turn down such offers and move on.

all the best, I hope you will have good luck
I have updated my first post with new coins to change. There are also included in my swap list.

Anyone willing to change his/her repeated coins for my Spanish ones? I don't mind receiving repeated coins (even several copies of the same coins), as the idea is to change them in Spain with other collectors (as changing here the Spanish ones is almost impossible: we all have them).

Xabier
